phytotelma – plant that collects water and serves as a home for aquatic organisms
phytotemata – the water-filled cavity of a phytotelma(water collecting plant)
mutualistic relationship – a type of symbiotic relationship between two species where each member benefits from the interaction
symbiotic relationship – a biological association between two species, in the form of mutualism, commensalism or parasitism
phytoremediation – plant storing toxins to clean up soil
Anhydrobiosis mechanisms – handle life without water
xerophytes – better adaptations and acclimation environments to drought
mesophyte – no adaptations or acclimations to drought/high water
glycophyte – no adaptation to high salinity
halophyte – adaptation to high salinity

allelopathy – toxic chemicals released by other plants
